Opt-in to Touchstone

Be part of Cubiko's community of practices that share de-identified aggregated data.

NOTE: This metric is available to our Best Practice software integration customers.

What is Touchstone?

Touchstone is a General Practice benchmarking tool that enables you and your team to compare key practice metrics against other practices in the industry. This has been one of our most requested features, as it enables practices, like yours, to gain full visibility into their billings and quality of service. These insights can help you focus your efforts on improving your overall practice performance.

Your trust, privacy, and ability to choose to participate in this benchmarking project are important to us. As such, Touchstone is available on an opt-in basis only. Providing you with the option to decide if you want to participate and gain insight into these benchmarks.

It is essential for us to highlight that the data within Touchstone is entirely de-identified. As soon as the data is ingested, it is de-identified and then added to the aggregated data set within Cubiko. 

Touchstone will include benchmarking insights on your: 

  • Practice billings
  • Bulk billing rates 
  • Appointment book
  • Chronic Disease Management 
  • Clinic Utilisation

How to opt-in to Touchstone

There are 2 actions to complete to Opt in to Touchstone:

1.  Complete your Practice information

Go to Settings> Practice information

There are five questions to answer in this section.  Completing these questions will not automatically opt you in to Touchstone, and should still be completed to provide your customised insights in some selected areas of Cubiko.

If opting in to Touchstone, these questions help us provide comparative data for the Cubiko community groupings.  The questions we ask about your practice include:

  • State
  • MMM classification
  • Local PHN
  • Does your practice have Registrars?
  • Are all locations in this Practice participating in the BBPIP?

Please choose the appropriate answers from the drop-down box.

Once you have completed the questions, ensure you press Save then proceed to the Opt-in step.  

2. Opt-in to Touchstone

Go to Settings > Touchstone Settings

Once you have completed the questions, ensure you press Agree and Save to finalise the opt-in process.  

To make any changes to your community grouping questions, please go back to Practice information.

Now that you have opted in, you can expect to see the Touchstone cabinet after a successful data extraction overnight, in your Cubiko account tomorrow after 11am.

NOTE: Please ensure you have the appropriate authority and delegation on behalf of your practice to include your practice in the aggregated dashboard of metrics.

How to opt-out of Touchstone

If you would like to opt-out at any time, please contact us at support@cubiko.com.au.

Once you have opted-out, We will cease system and practice data ingestion to any aggregated benchmarking metrics within 14 days.

However, historical ingestion of aggregated benchmarking metrics is unidentifiable and therefore unable to be deleted.
