Zedmed - Uncompleted Appointment Rate
This metric provides a percentage and breakdown of uncompleted patient appointments, where the appointment status is not marked as completed.
This metric provides a great way to locate any patient appointments that have not progressed within your Practice Management Software system.
Identifying uncompleted patient appointments is likely to increase billings by flagging those that have not progressed through the usual patient workflow and subsequently may not have been billed. Without this knowledge, these may otherwise represent lost billings.
The Uncompleted appointment rate metric can be found in Clinic Optimisation > Billing Optimisation cabinet.

Uncompleted appointment rate:
The percentage of uncompleted appointments in the selected period for all appointment booking methods. Appointments are considered incomplete if they are missed and have not been marked as attended or remain current once the date of the scheduled appointment has passed.

The percentage of uncompleted appointments in the selected period for online booking methods. Appointments are considered incomplete if they are missed and have not been marked as attended or remain current once the date of the scheduled appointment has passed.
Uncompleted appointment rate by Provider

The percentage of uncompleted appointments in the selected period by Provider for all appointment booking methods.
Use the filters to filter by 'Provider', to view the breakdown of their data and the list of uncompleted patient appointments.
TOP TIP! Use this metric to reveal which individuals are not completing all appointments on the day, leading to a shortfall in their billing or income targets.
Uncompleted appointment rate by appointment date

The percentage of uncompleted appointments in the selected period for all appointment booking methods by appointment date.
Use this metric to identify patterns and trends, and spot specific days or periods with a higher uncompleted appointment rate. If certain days are consistently higher, it may be helpful to provide focused training or review staffing and rota coverage.

This table lists the details of all the patients who have uncompleted appointments in the selected time frame.
You can view or export this list to review against your Practice Management Software and open communication with your Providers.
TOP TIP! Use the ‘Actions’ column at the far right of the table to quickly track actions for each row, allowing for team transparency when enquiring with patients/practitioners, and avoids doubling up work by different team members!
