CDM billings as a % of total billings
This number expresses the practice's chronic disease management (CDM) billings as a percentage of the practice's total gross billings (inclusive of GST and based on service date).
TOP TIP! Comparing this to Total CDM billings gives context to the percentage for this year. For our practice, 13% of total billings from CDM activities for last month equated to $22,311.
You could use this as an indication to work towards increasing CDM billings in the clinic alongside Item optimisation.
Total CDM billings
This figure represents practice chronic disease management (CDM) billings (inclusive of GST, and based on service date) and how they compare to the same time the previous year.
TOP TIP! CDM billings is a great metric to track the growth of the practice and the uptake and success of Chronic Disease clinics, and the increased reliance on Chronic Disease-trained Nurses.
Nurses can support the doctor by completing and documenting parts of the plan, saving the doctor countless hours each week. By increasing nursing support to these clinics, the practice's goal would be to see an increase in the utilisation of these items.
CDM opportunity
This figure represents the potential for chronic disease management (CDM) billings for item 721, 723, 732 and 10997, based on patient eligibility from Item Optimisation. Click to see the total number of patients eligible for CDM items and details on their next booked appointments.
TOP TIP! Click through on the metric heading to go straight to our Item optimisation cabinet.
CDM billings by MBS item billed
The CDM billings by MBS item billed table lists the total billings broken down by the MBS item billed.
