These metrics give a breakdown of the total number of skin items billed for the selected period

This metric shows the total number of skin items billed (with melanoma items on the top line and non-melanoma on the second line) for the selected period.

To navigate to this metric, go to Clinic Insights > Past Clinic Metrics > Operations tab > Skin Items

Click through to see these items broken down by Practitioner and by date for both the selected period and the calendar year to date.

Skin items

This metric shows the total number of skin items billed (with melanoma items on the top line and non-melanoma on the second line) for the selected period.

This metric uses the following items billed to track melanoma billings: 

31371, 31372, 31373, 31374, 31375, 31376, 31325, 31330, 31335, 31310, 31315, 31320, 31300, 31305.

For non-melanoma items, the items used to track includes:

31356, 31358, 31361, 31363, 31365, 31367, 31369, 30196, 31280, 31285, 31290, 31265, 31270, 31275, 31255, 31260, 31281, 31286, 31291, 31266, 31271, 31276, 31256, 31261, 31283, 31288, 31293, 31268, 31273, 31278, 31258, 31263.

 

TOP TIP! Ensure that your appointments are set up correctly in your Practice Management Software (PMS) so that you are able to use the name of the appointment type to track other metrics such as Appointment count. For example, you could name your appointment type "excision".

Skin items CTYD 

This metric shows the total number of skin items billed (with melanoma items on the top line and non-melanoma on the second line) for the calendar year to date.

This metric makes it easier to track how your practice is performing for the calendar year so far. This means you will be able to track the total volume of excisions that occur throughout the year.

 

TOP TIP! We recommend using these items in tandem with other Cubiko metrics. As you know, sometimes there is a delay between the appointment type happening and processing the billing.

The metrics you see on this page are all based on billed items, so to get a more accurate picture of appointments that have taken place but not yet billed, you could use billings on hold or appointment count metrics, using the filters to find your excisions.

This metric breaks down the skin items billed by Practitioner split into melanoma and non-melanoma items for the selected period.

Skin items by Practitioner CYTD

This metric allows you to track how your Practitioners are performing in terms of their melanoma and non-melanoma skin item billings throughout the calendar year to date and can be used in conversation with your Practitioners about their skin check billing history.

This is a great metric for those Practitioners who wish to track their skin item billings and focus on this specialty area.

This figure represents over time the skin items billed for the selected time period. It is split into melanoma and non-melanoma items.

Use the 'Group by' filter in the top right of the metric to view the data by day, week, or month.

TOP TIP! Use this metric to determine the trend in billing melanoma and non-melanoma items over time. You can use this to enable your practice to design quality improvement activities, such as providing more education for your patients about the importance of sun safety and skin checks.
