Page overview

The rebooking rate metrics help determine which completed patient appointments have another appointment booked in the next 36 months following the original appointment.

The Appointments with no rebookings metrics show those completed patient appointments that currently do not have another appointment booked in the following 36 months.

The Rebooked appointments not of selected type metrics show those patient appointments that have other appointments booked in the next 36 months following the original appointment that are not of a booked appointment type selected in the filters.

Completed appointments do not include appointments that have been marked as DNA.

  • Rebooking rate: The rebooking rate represents the proportion of completed patient appointments that have another appointment booked in the next 36 months following the original patient appointment.
  • Original appointment: The original patient appointments that were completed within the selected date range.
  • Next booked appointment: The earliest occurring patient appointment that has been booked in the next 36 months following the original patient appointment. If there is more than one booked patient appointment that occurs at the same time, the appointment that was booked first will be displayed. The next booked practitioner corresponds to the practitioner this appointment is booked with.
  • Booked appointments: This represents all future patient appointments that have been booked in the next 36 months following the original patient appointment.

Appointments with no rebookings tab

This is a great metric for tracking down patients with no rebookings following an original appointment type. Are those appointment types you are needing your patients to rebook on the way out from their consultation occurring? For example, Health Assessments, GPMP and TCA reviews and annual Skin Checks. Is there a high number of care plan appointments with no future bookings in the next 36 months? Perhaps we can try re-book these patients for the next services such as a care plan review and nurse item 10997.

List of appointments with no rebookings in next 36 months

This table lists all of the appts in the selected date range, where the patient does not have a follow-up appt booked in the next 36 months.

Your Practice can use this list to boost your rebooking rate by Practitioner. It is the inverse list of the rebooking metric.

For example, if your rebooking rate is 30% then this patient list represents 70% of your patients who are yet to book an appointment inside the 36-month booking window ahead.

TOP TIP! Use this list to have your reception team call those patients that didn’t rebook at the time, so they can book another appointment for those key appointment types such as GPMP/TCA review and Skin Checks.

You can use the internal ID on this list to create a targeted SMS campaign using your third-party provider. You can sort this list by 'Original appointment type' to ensure those patients who attended a certain appointment are booking another follow-up appointment.

Rebooked appointments not of selected type tab

This metric gives you the capability to look for a particular appointment type that has not been rebooked.

For example, you have a patient who is coming in for a care plan appointment. You want to see if they have booked in for a care plan review. You can use this new tab to determine which of your patients who have come in for a care plan appointment, but have not booked in for a care plan review. You can use this list to ensure that you're getting these patients back in for appointments.

List of appointments with rebookings that are not of a selected booked appointment type

This table lists all of the patient appointments in the selected date range, where the patient has other appointments booked in the 36 months following their original appointment that are not of a selected booked appointment type.

TOP TIP! Use your filters on the page to refine this list.

For example, you could use the filter "Original appointment type" to search for all initial care plan appointment types. You would then use the filter "Booked appt types" to select your appt type care plan review.

This will search for all "care plan review" appointments for your patients booked over the next 36 months following the original appointment type "Care plan appointment type" and return a list of patients that have an upcoming appointment in your practice but DO NOT have any upcoming appointments over 36 months that match your selected "Booked appt type" of "care plan review". For example, the patient may be booked in for a script or standard appointment but do not have a care plan review booking.

You can use this list along with your "List of appointments no NO rebookings" to recall all patients that do not have that type of appointment booked or any appointment at all following the care plan appointment and book in the care plan review.
