Practitioner filter - how is it configured?
This guide will help you understand the Select Practitioner filter and the difference between Active, Inactive, and Deleted users in your practice management software (PMS).
If you see users not active at your practice, use this article for how you can find these users in your PMS - Jump to the FAQ regarding this here.
The Select Practitioner filter is available on many metrics within Cubiko.
There is an option on this filter to Show all users, which by default is toggled to ON.
This means all users on your PMS will be listed in this drop down filter. This list will include Active, Inactive and Deleted users regardless of whether you have marked the user to be included in metrics in Settings > Users.
FAQs
How can I tell the status and setup of a user on this list?
The drop-down list will show the users and will appear as Name Only, Name (Inactive), Name (Deleted), Name (NIIM)
The below describes how each of these are configured in your Settings > Users
Name Only - These are active in your PMS and ticked to be included in metrics in settings
Name (Inactive) - These are inactive in your PMS and ticked to be included in metrics in settings
Name (Deleted) - These are deleted in your PMS and ticked to be included in metrics in settings
Name (NIIM) - These are active in your PMS and unticked to be included in metrics in settings
How can I review who I am including in metrics?
To review users included or not included in metrics go to Settings > Users (you will need to have access to settings to review this information)
Full details on how to update settings go to: How to complete settings
Why is there this option if I have already chosen the users I wish to have included in my reporting?
The ability to show all users, regardless of their status in Settings > Users, is to ensure practices can reconcile against reports within their PMS. Filtering out users may cause confusion with total billings or appointment counts that may be impacted by the decision to not include data for users in your Cubiko metrics.
What if I do not recognise a name on this list?
Cubiko has rigorous measures in place for data security and ensuring only data from your practice is extracted into your Cubiko dashboards.
If you have migrated from a different PMS, or merged databases, there may be previous users on the PMS from prior to your practice operating in its current form.
If you are importing transferred patient files electronically into your software, where previous consultation notes have also been imported, the "users" completing notes on this file will potentially be imported and exist within the deleted users area of your PMS.
TOP TIP! You can review your inactive users in your practice management software.
For example, in Bp, for deleted users, you can view deleted users in BP Utilities > Deleted Users.
