Hours of Doctor time for each hour of Nurse time

The doctor to nurse hours ratio is an important metric for workforce planning and the profitability of the practice.

The Hours of Doctor time for each hour of Nurse time metric can be found in Clinic Insights > Future clinic metrics.

The metric takes your doctors' total session hours and divides them by your nurses' total session hours. This is a forward-looking metric, looking by default, at the next 7 days. You can look further ahead by changing the date range filter.

For example, if your practice has one doctor available for 20 session hours that week, and a registered nurse is available for 10 session hours that week, the Doctor to Nurse ratio would be 2.0, meaning you have twice the number of doctor hours to nurse hours.
